Children’s and Youth Ministries

“Tell to the coming generation the glorious deeds of the Lord, and his might, and the wonders that he has done. He established a testimony in Jacob and appointed a law in Israel which he commanded our fathers to teach to their children, that the next generation might know them, the children yet unborn, and arise to tell them to their children, so that they should set their hope in God and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments.”

Psalm 78:4-7

VISION

G+P seeks to be covenant  partners with parents and families as we disciple and instruct our children so that they might know who God is as revealed in the Bible; develop a  loving and personal relationship with Jesus Christ; and thereby glorify Him in worship and in service. Read more here.

What to expect

Upon arrival, you will check in your children at the table to the left. Depending on the age of your children, they will either go to the nursery or children’s church.

Sunday Morning Services

CHILDREN’S CHURCH

Children 4 years old- 5th grade are welcome to participate in children’s church. These developmentally appropriate class lessons take place downstairs during the sermon portion of the service~ the children remain with their parents during all other parts of worship.

Primary: Children 4 years old through 2nd grade attend the primary class where they learn about who Jesus is through a Bible story, memory verse, and activity. Check out the Show Me Jesus curriculum here.

Intermediate: Children in 3rd through 5th grade attend the intermediate class where they learn about who Jesus is through a Bible story, memory verse, and activity. Check out the Show Me Jesus curriculum here.

NURSERY

Children ages 0-3 are welcome to attend nursery for the entirety of the worship service. The nursery is located downstairs and has two separate classes. While all children are welcome during any part of the service, you may take your children to nursery before the service and pick them up after.

Babies: Children who are not yet stable walkers remain in the baby room where they play, eat a snack, and are cared for.

Toddlers: Stable walkers join the toddler class where they play, eat a snack, are cared for, and learn a short Bible story lesson.

YOUTH

Students in 6th grade through 12th grade are invited to Donuts Downstairs 9-10am each Sunday morning. While enjoying a sweet treat, students fellowship together, study the Bible, and spend time in prayer. Right now they’re studying the Shorter Catechism. Check out the Digging Deeper Curriculum here. (Please note: Beginning May 12, youth will meet from 4-6pm every Sunday, downstairs at g+p.)
